As someone who has his virtual machines on an external disk and moves between lots of Windows and OS X hosts, Windows will likely NOT need reactivation. Windows activation tends to freak out on "motherboard" changes, so while Windows sees the CPU change a lot, it never complains because the motherboard VMware has is the same.
